The Level Of VOCs in Paints Is Lowering

Something that Ron Durnwald, owner of Fresh Coat Painters in Florence, KY, has noticed over the pass few months is his customers asking about VOCs, volatile organic compounds, or what we know of as that “new paint smell”.
Most VOCs are released into the air as paint is drying, but can continue to emanate for several years. VOCs have been known to cause health issues, especially for those with respiratory issues and allergies and are a major source of indoor air pollution, according to the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency.
